Ownership & third-party rights

FourPoint Technology is the project name, not a separate registered company. This statement covers only rights actually held; it does not transfer or override rights belonging to contributors or third parties.

FourPoint original work may include its application-specific conversion parsing and layout logic, service integration, interface code, original documentation, and original design contributions. Providing access to an API or delivering website code to a browser does not by itself grant a licence to redistribute or sell the proprietary application source. This is subject to permissions expressly granted, third-party licences and mandatory rights under applicable law.

What we do not claim

We do not claim ownership of PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, CSV or other file formats, public standards, programming languages, general conversion ideas, algorithms as such, independently created implementations or third-party components. Similar functionality alone does not establish copying of our protected work.

Third-party software and fonts remain the property of their respective rights holders. Their licences govern those components and prevail over any conflicting restriction in our general wording. We do not describe the entire software stack as exclusively FourPoint-authored or free of third-party dependencies.

Your files and generated results

You and the relevant rights holders retain rights in uploaded content and in that content as represented in converted files. Conversion does not transfer those rights to FourPoint. FourPoint claims no new ownership in your document merely because it is converted.

When a conversion is requested, permission is limited to receiving, processing and returning the requested document and handling an explicitly authorised support request. No permission to sell document contents, publish them, use them for advertising or train models on them is requested by these pages. You must have authority to process documents and the personal information they contain.

Brand names and artwork

FourAPI, FourPoint Technology and their visual identity are used to identify this project. No trademark registration, patent, exclusive rights to common colours or exclusive rights to every element of the identity are claimed here. Registration and clearance must be assessed separately.

The operator supplied the FourAPI identity board; a background-free version of its mark was prepared with AI assistance for the portal. Ownership and protectability of supplied and AI-assisted materials depend on their origin, permissions, originality and applicable law. This notice does not certify an exclusive copyright in every pixel of the artwork.

Microsoft, Word, Excel and PowerPoint are trademarks of the Microsoft group of companies. Adobe and Acrobat are trademarks of their respective rights holders. References identify document compatibility or explain the software stack; they do not imply affiliation, endorsement or sponsorship. FourAPI is independent of those vendors.

Examples, attribution and permissions

You may copy FourAPI-authored integration examples from our documentation into your own applications and adapt them for integration with the service. This permission does not extend to unrelated application source code, brand artwork or third-party examples governed by their own terms.

Do not remove notices required by the applicable component licence. API service access does not automatically grant the right to repackage our engines as your own software. Statutory interoperability and other mandatory rights are not excluded. Contact support@getfourpoint.com about additional source-code or brand permissions.
